MSP8 Crashes

Post by bokharih »

Hi

I hope someone can help, or has any suggestions.

I've got a Dell desktop - it's a P4, 3Ghz with 3Gb RAM, 80Gb & 180Gb hdd's; the OS is Windows XP Pro, SP2 and I'm up-to-date on the patches front.

I've managed to put together 25 mins of video (using MPEG files) and now I get the standard Microsoft Error message when I load up and try to do anything in the project.

The two errors I get (in the event log) are:

Faulting application veditor.dat, version 8.0.0.0, faulting module vcvrt32.dll, version 8.0.0.0, fault address 0x00003ba1.

and

Faulting application veditor.dat, version 8.0.0.0, faulting module vcvrt32.dll, version 8.0.0.0, fault address 0x00003b3b.

If anyone has any ideas - that would be great.

Thanks
Harris

What happens if you open up VE as a new project and you then try to open any of the DVP files from the project's auto back-up directory?
