PI 10 Welcome Screen

Post by skyml »

Am using Photo Impact 10 and really hate the silly welcome screen that pops up evertime the program loads. Is there any way to disable it to stop it from loading at startup?

This has been covered umpteen times in various forums. Right click on your short cut go to 'Properties and add a space/n after the ".... iedit.exe" in the command line.

Thanks for the reply.... did a search before I posted this and found nothing. Tried the disable tech you suggested ("C:\Program Files\Ulead Systems\PhotoImpact Pro\Iedit.exe" /n) which did not work. Did I get it wrong?

It should have worked. Did you, by any chance, use a different short cut to start the program after you made the change? This fix will only work for the short cut you change.

welcome screen

hi,

at the bottom left part of the welcome screen, there's 'Display at Startup', just uncheck this and the welcome screen shouldn't come out anymore when you start PI 10.

if you need to show the welcome screen again .. go to window > welcome screen on the menu bar.

Nova Photo Impact?

Post by skyml »

Perhaps I screwed up.... I bought my Photo Impact PRo 10 at Best Buy (been using ulead PI for 7 years now) and only now relaized it has some reference to "Nova Products" even though it also says "Ulead" on it. I've used a friends PI10 which he download from Ulead and the 2 seem identicle. My welcome screen has no disable option anywhere on it and the /n option on the shortcut does not work. Could this be the problem?

That could be it.., NOVA are resellers of ULEAD products and usually bundle with other products and re-code the executables.

I think Nova adds a launcher to the program which cannot be disabled...
