Can't convert DVD-VR to DVD Video HELP

I'm running the trial version of the Disc Creator version.

When I try to convert, it comes up with a msg saying it is either open session or blank disc (it's not blank and plays fine on the pc). So I tried closing it using the bottom right hand corner cd with padlock icon, but another error message came up

can anyone help please?

If you recorded your disc in a DVD recorder did you finalise the disc in the recorder?
