Sorry but can you educate me as to what a *.PE4 file is?

It's too easy to get confused. When you refer to a PE4 file, do you mean PhotoExpress4? You need PE to open that.

ULEAD have different programs, all concerned with imaging, PhotoImpact, PhotoExpress, PhotoExplorer etc.

Please let us know the file spec's.

PE4 is the file extension for the Image archive file associated with Ulead PhotoImpact v.4.0. I just hoped that PI v10 was backwards compatible with all old PI-products!!!
Hope you can help!!

I never used PI4 but am puzzled by the file extention. Are you certain it is PE4??

PI uses the ufo extention for its native files and can open other graphis files like jpeg, gif, bmp, png etc. I have never come accross a file extention PE4. I do own a copy of PhotoExpress but it's not installed.

As far as I know, Ulead PhotoImpact has used UFO as its default file format from the start... Just like Adobe PhotoShop uses PSD.
