Can't get transparent Chroma to work as in the documentation

Post by dshenoy »

I have a video clip of my daughter dancing and she is in front of a green wall (unique color). I then have a picture with various colors that I would like to superimpose in the background so it looks as it she is dancing in front of the picture. (Similar to what the weather presented do today).

My problem occurs when I use the Mask and Chroma Key. It seems to blend both the video and picture together. This is not the effect I am looking for.

I am using VS9. If you have the documentation I am looking for the effect as in page 96 of the hardcopy guide. What am i doing incorrectly or are my expectations of getting this type of effect incorrect?

Many thanks in advance for any help.

No your expectations are correct, but it sounds a bit like you have the videos in the wrong tracks - you should have the video with the green background in the lower overlay track and the background in the top track, have a look at "Screen Views 1" on my website
