vstudio.exe - Application error during rendering

Post by aatencio »

I am having a major issue with my fully patched version 9.0 installation of VideoStudio. At approximately 40% rendered of the project when burning to a DVD the applicatins crashes and displays the following error:
-----------------------------------
vstudio.exe - Application Error

The instruction at "0x73dd11c7" referenced memory at "0x00000004". The memory could not be "read".

Click OK to terminate program.
------------------------------------
Then the system shuts the application down. I have applied the patch located at: http://ftp.ulead.com/pub/Updates/videos ... 1_5in1.exe, which seemed to have no effect what so ever. Application still crashes.

I am having to burn this project to the hard disk and then use Nero to create the actual DVD. I hope someone on here can tell me how to fix this before I determine that I need to go out and purchase a different application for my video needs.

Thank you,

Hi Andy

What you have to do to burn your dvd is the recomended way to do it this is a quote from the first post which is worth reading

The following procedure/work flow is recommended when using VIDEO STUDIO because it has had the most success at producing good quality DVDs. In particular, it avoids triggering serious bugs, so please follow the process carefully.

The most important messages in this procedure are:
(1) Always Create a Video File for your project before attempting to burn a DVD

Thank you for sharing that...

I guess the question I have is what is the point of purchasing this peice of software if it can't burn a DV unless you turn around three times, spit to the left and then say pretty please!

I have been using Ulead software for quite some time now, but maybe it is time to move over to Adobe or Pinnicle...

Later!
