problem STARTING Movie factory

Post by mikeo2c »

I have just loaded Movie factory 2.5 (part of a bundle with Winfast VC100) and have been looking forward to burning 20-year old family VHS videos - a delight to see old Da wrapping nappy on bare bum of little son who is now a hard-drinking universioty student. Need to distribute DVD to current circle of friends - you can understand this I am sure!
Anyway, when I click on Movie factory I get a message saying " The display resolution should be at least 1024x768".
Anyone help me on this?

To change windows screen resolution there are a few ways:

Either go through Start > Settings > Control Panel and select DISPLAY.
After activating the display icon and under the "Display Peoperties Screen" select "Settings". It is in this part of the windows program you set the display resolution(s).

Or:
Right click on the windows desktop and select "Properties" then "Settings".

That seems to have done the trick Drummer (not so mad, are you?)
BUT I don't like all that tiny little type I am afflicted with now.
It would appear that MovieFactory requires this in order to load and function. Is this so, in your experience?
I have always used an 800x600 setup, which means that everything is easy to read.
Further input would be good.
Thank you very much so far. At least I have got the blessed thing working!
