Menu Item Selection Question

Post by krwzmann »

Hi All. Just playing around w/ the demo version of Workshop 2 and I was wondering if its possible to have just selectable text on a menu as opposed to having a video thumbnail along with text? An example would be: Having a menu where I can click on 'Chapter 1' text and it would take me to my chapter 1 video. There's some pages where i'd want just text to be selectable without any thumbnails on the screen. Thanks for your help!

Create your menu, add some text, drag your movie to the text, hey presto

Another way which gives a different appearance (select box instead of colour change) is to overlay your text with a chapter-linked invisible button containing nothing. It is arguably better because you can see the hovering selection more easily.

I really like the drag and drop programming for buttons. Be it text or a thumbnail, you gotta admit that is pretty easy. I also like using the HIGHLIGHT for my text. I have been experimenting with different setups and it looks really professional.

Thanks for the info guys. I diden't realize how easy and straightforward it could be with this software! I'm bouncing back and forth between this and the Adobe Encore demo which I think works great too.
