Activation code???

I got the full ESD download by requesting it from the purchase page of MSP8.

Before you uninstall the old version you should copy the serial number from about page of MSP8 because the new install will ask you for the serial number.

fyi I ordered and received the upgrade boxed version of studiomedia pro 8. No activation code required. You did need to enter the serial number of your version 7. I would suggest uninstalling the version 7 before you install the version 8. At least in my case when I uninstalled the version 7 after I installed version 8 I got a register error and missing codex error. I uninstalled version 8 and deleted the folders as reccommended in other threads; reinstalled it and the problem went away. Incidently the boxed version does come with a printed manual.

only problem with uninstalling V7 is you lose video paint and CGI, unless you purchased the VGL pack as part of V8. I was able to install 8 over 7 on both my machines without any problems.

right. I didn't have any problems until i uninstalled version 7. I had purchased the video paint and cgi separately and installed them after I got the version 8 to work.
