New with this and need help

Post by agenttwenty4 »

Hi, I've just got DVD moviefactory 3 and after about 10 minutes I hit a problem. 3 hours later I'm still not sure what to do, so have decided to turn to people who may be able to help.

I've recorded about 15 minutes of footage on a Sony Handycam DVD 91E camcorder. I then dragged the footage folder VIDEO_TS from the DVD to my harddrive. I then opened DVD MovieFactory 3 and chose create Video disk. I selected DVD, then imported the video from harddrive. The problem is that it doesn't have any sound. It did come up with a message about some kind of sound not being compatible (I foolishly closed the info box, so cannot explain exactly what it said). Now I just don't know what to do. Does anyone have any suggestions, or know what settings need adjusting?

By the way, this is a full version, not a trial, if that would make any difference. Thanks.

I guess the message was "MF doesn't support Dolby Digital Audio Tracks", probably AC3. That's that... nothing you can do about;

The version of MovieFactory 3 that supports AC-3 audio is
MovieFactory 3 Disc Creator.
Maybe you can upgrade your version to the full disc creator version.
