How do I get past the Video Transitions?

Post by surf_au »

Hi all
need some help -

Last week I downloaded Movie factory 3 - burned some DVD+ - short 5 minute movie - all OK

Decided to buy VS9 (Academic Version) made movies all weekend ,

Now I have tried Via VS9 and MS3 to burn disks

VS9 made movies and *.WMV files ( Photo Story 3)

VS9 stops half way through the conversion of videos and I get a run time error ( 9 short movies - 5 minute) and 1 30 minute video.

MS3 - I get all the way through the disk burn and then right at the 98% mark I get a DVD error.

can anyone help
I am using a 2.4Ghz and 512 Meg RAM.

THEN - I uploaded all the patches - then

got to the video tranisstions and then after 2 hours - FAILED TO USE CONVERTED CACHE FILE 4570 :

THen I get
Unspecified error.
report ID: 0x800411a(4570)

this is the 3rd day I try to burn a CD of the same movie - talk about frustrating

There could be some programs running in the background that come in conflict with VS or MF. Turn them all off plus, unplug unimportant, external devices before running VS or MF.

What are the properties of the original video file/s, and to what properties are you converting them?

I have already done that -

I even Crt-Alt-Del and turn off Skype, spyware, Mcafee and evertyhing I can see - I did this so as to have more memory avialable ( I am running 512). I also removed every other pice of DVD buring software that I had on the machine. \

If I look in application in Task Manager VS9 is the only thing running and I have physically stopped all background apps - are there any Std Windows things that run in background that should/can be turned off.
