i have just purchased video 8 and tried to download a dv clip for the first time using themovie wizard,all my settings have been done to the instruction book,but my film breaks up into pixels when downlo9ad with a lot of noise through my speakers,the frames are covered in small coloured pixels when frozen.casn anyone help.I have a AMD athlon xp2400 cpu, sappire motherboard + 128mb ATI graphics SMA,512mb ram,120gb hard drive with 85mb free.firewire connection.
can anyone help me THANKS

I endorse jchunter's suggestions. One thing you might want to check immediately is the DV Encoder Type that VS8 is capturing in. The default is Type 2, but most people find that Type 1 works better. Typical problems with Type 2 sound like the problems you are experiencing. To change, click on the Options cogwheel icon on the Capture pane, midway down the left-hand side of the screen. This will give you the choice between Type 1 and 2. Remember that this is only if you have selected DV/AVI as the capture format.
