Prob's w/voice annotation & sound level of background mu

Post by buffalodoc »

I am trying to add voice annotation to a series of slides for an educational slideshow. I must admit that I too have experienced NUMEROUS problems with PS4. When I am in the THEME section trying to either add voice annotation or modify the volume of the background music, it seem as though I can only do one or two slides, then the program CRASHES. So far, I have done everything that Technical Support has recommended and it still crashes. So, after much time spent restarting the program, Ive been able to get about two-thirds of my slide annotated. Now, when I try to record the annotation, the volume of my voice is lower and sounds muted. It is entirely different from the preceeding slides. I've checked my microphone, and even purchased a new one, but it still sounds as though I'm talking through a muffler. Also, despite setting the volume of the background music lower, it still sounds too loud - was not that way on earlier slides. It seems as though the sound portion of the program went haywire after the first 30+ slides. Got any ideas??? [/u]

Have you tried reinstalling your whole program? Include deleting traces of it(registry, program folders, temp files) before installing it again. ^_^

Yes, I've done that twice. That was the first thing that Technical Support suggested I do.

Try increasing your page file size. If you have 512MB of memory for example, set the minimum to double like 1024MB and maximum to triple up to 1536MB. This will be used by the program to have enough resources. ^_^

I had already done that. It was the second thing Technical Support suggested. It made absolutely no difference. :(

How about the system requirements? Have you met them all?

Check this link: http://www.ulead.com/dps/sysreq.htm

May I also know your PC specs. Thanks. :D

Thanks, but I won't be posting here anymore. My frustration level with this program got to be too much. I recently purchased ProShow Gold and did more in one day than I was able to do with PS4 in weeks. No crashes and everything works. I really liked the simplicity of PS4, but it just didn't work for me. If they come out with any patches for PS4, I might give it a try again - but for now I'll be using ProShow Gold as will the training department at my company.
