I want to edit some WAV clips in AudioEditor (I use MSP 7.3); so I ope them in AudioEditor and make some adjustments with commands such as Effects->Remove Noice, Effects>Amplify or Effects>Normalize. I then try to save the changes, but AudioEditor cannot save the changes!!
I just get a message: "Unable to Save the File" "Failed to save the Fle"
Why is this? What to do?
Thanks,
Maukka

yes I can. But I would definately want to avoid that. My project is about 60 minutes long and contains hundreads of sound clips. I need to adjust them to fit together. So I may need to go back to each clip several times before I get it righ.
If I really need to save the clip under a new name every time I make an adjustment... it gets very tedious. I would every time have to import the new file to timeline so that I can see how it works (volume level etc) in its environment... and then perhaps to do the same operation again.
I thought the idea in having such components as AudioEditor in a NLE package was to "seamlessly" open clips in an associated program for edit and then simply save the changes.
Apparently not

In my previous post I made a mistake, I mistakenly said that the command "Replace With" would not work.
I meant to say that "Open in Associated Program" does not work unless I close AudioEditor in between.
Very sorry to hear that this saving issue has not improved in MSP8. But glad to hear that there might be a workaround. I'll try switching to filename view.
