Hi,I just bought P/E 8.5,a bit dissapointed,I cannot find where to resize photos to about 50kb suitable for web page and email.I have an old Express which I use all the time,but I found that when I cropped a photo, there was allways a border around it,one thing I can do in it is resize,so I usually have to work between the two, resize in express then crop if need be in the 8.5.(there are no borders on photos in there).
I noticed you can do thumbnails in the new one but thats not what I want.
Must admit much prefer the old Express 2.

Have a look under "Tools" & "convert image files"
tick the box marked "resample image size to" then select percentage or pixels.
If using pixels, it sets it to the maximum size, i.e. if it's a landscape photo, then it's the number of along the horizontal axis
To crop the photo, go to "photo" & "adjust image" crop is one of the options in there
backup yor photo first!
