MICRO MV

I cannot get Videostudio 8 to capture from a micromv device. it doesnt crash but just get a black screen being captured and the picture playback on the sony DCR-IP7 becomes corrupted.

Capture from MV device is fine

Any ideas?

Have you changed the VS 8 capture plug-in to Micro MV?

Where are you from? Do you use PAL where you're from? AFAIK, your camera uses NTSC. Maybe that's the issue?

I have changed it to micromv

I have also tried to change the settings to NTSC

The weird thing is that playback on the camera itself is corrupted while the camera is plugged into the computer??

Doesn't your camera have a software from sony that captures and edits videos? Why don't you try that and see if you're still getting corrupt videos? Maybe the problem is with your tape and not with VS.
