Can't "Create Disc" from Video Studio 8
the option is "greyed" out - does that mean it's not possible to burn a DVD from this version?

Hi
There are several versions of VS 8, many came bundled free with capture cards etc.
The VS 8 se basic does not have the burner software whereas the VS 8 se-dvd is ok.
If you have the basic software I would advise you to upgrade to VS 9.

Do you own any other burner software such as nero.
Share --Create Video file then use nero to burn to dvd.
