"film" effect/strobe
Hey all....A friend of mine who uses Final Cut told me that he can apply a stroble effect to his projects and create a more "filmic" look to the media. Is there anything like that in Media Studio Pro 7?

MSPro 7 & 8 have an "Old Film" video filter that gives you keyframeable control over dust, scratches, shock (as in from worn film sprocket holes), light variance and the light variance color.
The Old Film filter also converts the clip to mono, so if you wnat the effect in color you should overlay it with a copy of the same clip with its overlay options set to a 60% - 80% transparency. This will give the result that de-saturated color look of oxydized color film.
Properly used either setup is very effective.
