Settings for Best DVD Video Quality?
Settings for Best DVD Video Quality?
I've rendered a couple of video clips thru Media Pro 8. The video data rate of the rendered videos is set at 9000kbps which I believe is the higher end of what it should be. Yet when I author a dvd with those clips, using 9000kbps for the video data rate during the authoring...the dvds dont look as clear as I thought they should be. The videos looks fine when played back directly from my video camera but I understand there is naturally some loss of video quality if you edit the videos and have slow motion effects etc...but I figured that since the rendered videos look good on the computer screen that theyd look somewhat good when playing the dvd on a tv. I've also made the settings to render non square pixels which i believe is supposed to make the picture look better on a tv but it still looks so so. Any suggestions? Thanks for your help all.
Different TVs
The video was made widescreen and it looks pretty good on a 20 Inch Tube Tv. It's when its on the 54" Widescreen that it looks so-so.
