Jog bar freezes

When I go to move the jog bar anywhere past 45 minutes, it either takes forever for the preview to catch up or moviefactory freezes.

I have a P4 1.4 and 756 Mb memory. No other applications are running and I have tons of drive space.

what are the properties of your video file?

Just a standard .mpg file captured from a my VCR. Size is about 3Gb.

try enabling your drive's DMA....

open Preferences and enable the "Create index file for MPeg...." option under the Advance tab. Remove the video file and load it again. Select YES to perform a pre-processing of the file.

I'm using Movie Factory 3.0 SE. i don't have an Advanced tab under preferences.
