lxdvdparser.dll error
I just installed Picture Show 4 for about the third time.
Tried both running with and without the published burning patch.
Crashes on a lxdvdparser.dll error.
Windows XP creates an error message to email Microsoft, and if you click on details it always points to this DLL.
Have contacted Tech Support and I do expect a quick response. loljavascript:emoticon('')

Thanks roycymru, it does work
Well I purchased Picture Show 4 after using Version 2 for about 2 years.
I really enjoy the user interface for slide show creation even though there are technical glitches. And my digital photos have gone to 8 mp from 4 mp. Thought it was time to move up from CD to DVD format, so I bought a new DVD burner.
I encountered the common problem with an lxdvdparser.dll error.
So I downloaded the old version of lxdvdparser.dll dated 2004 as suggested in roycmru's email and overlaid the version in program files/common files/ulead/dvd.
Then ran a simple test of Picture Show 4 and it worked.
Then I downloaded CD/DVD Burning Pack (Version: 3.6.19 .281, Release Date: 2005/07/27). This replaced the 2004 version with a 2005 version, and the program still works.
Cannot understand why, but this solution did indeed solve my problem.

Specific Instructions.
I went and bought an external drive thinking it was my laptop. I'd love some help getting so called patch if it will solve my problem. I don't get any errors with numbers -- only this http://thezcrew.com/ulead_pal_error.jpg I am trying to burn a PAL version of a DVD I did for Christmas successfully in NTSC format. Do you think this "patch" will help me? I am very afraid of messing with anything within Windows so someone PLEASE PLEASE help me and tell me where I need to begin fixing my issues before my Grandmother passes away before seeing what I made for her please. TIA for any help. DJ

PAL issues & Support
I concur with putting PAL issues all in one place... however even with their "tech-support" I never received a follow up reply. It's not worth any more aggravation since they cannot or do not seem to care either way. I've now un-installed and re-installed per their instructions and now a regular NTSC won't even burn. One successful DVD ?!?!?! it was not worth the money spent. Boo ULEAD! not impressed at all with support. Ease of use is great but what good does it do if all your efforts are for nothing! Some of us are not that tech savvy and are pretty much stuck.

Thank you Steve
Thank you for the direction but I'm not using any MPEG it was only pictures and music I used. Now that I tried again (been doing this since before Christmas 2005) to duplicate that one successful Picture DVD I've lost count on how many times I've tried. I still don't know and understand enough to follow all those "technical" this may work posts when they apply to video and I'm not using any video in my Picture DVD. I'd like to try
I followed instructions found here http://phpbb.ulead.com.tw/EN/viewtopic. ... 3208bd65c4 but it has not worked.
I'll be un-installing and calling it a loss.
from above but without being given specific step by step instructions and a promise it won't crash my laptop I wouldn't even know where to begin.digigeek
