Hi everyone this is my first time in the Forum and I have just downloaded a homemade video that has a bad spot of 10 secs in it that I want to delete using the editing function. I have 2 seperate files now and my manual says to "select both files while holding down the 'ctrl' or 'shift' keys and click the JOIN icon but I find myself not being able to select both files or even find a "JOIN" to even click!!!!
Can anyone help????

I assume that you have 2 separate clips in your timeline that you wnat to join. If so proceed as follows.
Click on one clip in the timeline to select it.
CTRL + click on the other so that both are selected.
To the right of the Add/Edit Chapter icon click on the icon with the two down arrows. That will reveal the Join Video icon.
Click the Join Video icon.
That is all.
