videostudio 8 mpeg4 plugin availability

Hi, I purchased VideoStudio 8 last year and have been trying to get the MPEG 4 plugin that was offered at one time for VS8. I purchased VideoStudio 8 three weeks prior to VideoStudio 9 being released from ulead, online, off their website.

Is there any way I could get the mpeg 4 add-in that was once available for VideoStudio 8? I see that the mpeg 4 add-on is free for VideoStudio 9.

Please reply with information on how to get the mpeg 4 plugin for VideoStudio 8. I went back to get it a few weeks later, but ulead switched the site to VideoSTudio9 and the plugin was no longer offered online. Repeated emails to support and service haven't even yielded a reply.

I've got exactly the same problem - surely ULead are not going to insist on upgrading to v9 for a free plug-in???

i suddenly got an email this morning from cust service on my third try at contacting them over the past few months.. they sent me a link to the mpeg 4 vs8 plugin online - available for $24.95.

so, basically, i pay $25 for a vs8 plugin or $50 for a vs9 upgrade with free plugin.

i tried asking them for the upgrade to vs9 a week about a week after vs9 came out, a few weeks after purchasing vs8, but they never replied and I tried contacting them through email and a seperate online contact form.

hmm.. decisions decisions..

ok.. are there any other good video editing software programs for about $100 that support mpeg4? i may just make a switch.

We cannot offer a free product without a promotion stating that. We do apologize for the inconvenience.

So, it looks like upgrade is the only option, then?
