3D Movies

Has anyone else tried to do this with the colorshift filter and either 3D glasses from certain DVDs or colored plastic wrap? How did it turn out?
I've been able to get a difference between foreground and background, but it seems like not being able to use decimals makes it a lot harder to get it to look right.
