I would like to find out how to "cut out" a piece of video from anywhere in a timelime that is not at the beginning or the end of the timeline. Ex: Video is 45min, I want to cut out from 15min to 25min on the timeline and have the resulting video 35min.
Many thanks.

Your math did not work for me, but what you are trying to do is not that hard to do. 45 minutes less 15 minutes will only leave you with 30, but that should not stop you. What you can do is put your placemarker in the timeline where you want to cut and click the scissors, go to the end of where you want to cut and click the scissors agian. At this point you should have three clips in your timeline. Click to select the middle clip and press delete. Then use share to create the new video file without the part in the middle that you want to get rid of. Easy process, I use it to cut out commercials.

Thanks for your reply. I have tried your suggestion, and it seems to work up to the share part where I get an error. Can't I just save the edited file???
Thanks,

You can save the edited file, but it will only be useful in VS, because it will save as a VSP project file. You need to use share to create a new video file if you want to keep it as a single video file. If share is blowing up on you, you might want to start a new post, or search for similar posts to help you there. That is over my head.
