workshop 2 AC-3 lip sync error
I will be using canopus procoder 2 to create mpeg 2 video and .wave audio. I will also be using Ulead workshop 2 to create AC-3 audio from the .wave.Our finished videos are always close to 2 hours in length. Has anybody experienced lip sync problems with AC-3 audio using workshop 2 and would workshop 2 have an audio offset feature to correct it?

YES - Lots of people have experienced sync problems!

Search the board for "sync". You'll find several related posts and suggested work-arounds.
In my case, I was editing MPEG-2 files with Video Studio. I assume it had something to do with the I, P, B-Frames getting screwed-up. Or, maybe DVD Workshop is finiky about the MPEG format.
I made two versions of the DVD. One with the unedited file, and one with the foul-language edited-out. The unedited (untouched by Video Studio) was perfect!
The edited MPEG file played fine on Windows Media Player, and it played fine on DVD Workshop's preview. But, the authored files were out of sync when played back from the hard drive, or from a burned DVD. They were out of sync with both AC3 and LPCM. I'd guess that the sync was off... oh maybe 300mS... one or two "words". I've read other posts where users had much worse errors.
I'm pretty sure that there is no offset feature, and I don't think that would help, because I think the sync error tends to vary over time (depending on the number of edits)?
Note that I was EDITING MPEG-2. I would't expect you to have that same problem, if you freshly-encode a COMPLETE MPEG file before burning it.
My WORK AROUND was to make separate files for each clip, and use them in a new Video Studio project. In this case Video Studio seemed to re-code the MPEG... 'cause it took a LONG time... but it was done in the morning!
