If I separate the audio, can I do this for individual clips or is it all or nothing for the entire project? If it is per clip can I alter the fading there? I have not tried separating the audio yet, hence the questions.

Audio fading.
In the edit mode of VS9 there are two volume bars indicating the fading of the audio for that particular clip. My question is, can that be altered to fade longer? Does anyone know what the default fade time is?

Hi
Change the default fade duration:- File –Preferences—Edit tab
Press F1 for VS help. Read the Audio Step, Audio View and the Volume rubber banding.
Splitting Audio, If you only require to change the volume levels and fade in/out there is no need to split audio, this can be achieved within the video clip.
Hope this helps
