How to get more .png overlays and images?

Post by bonnie »

When I use the .png files that are installed in the program, I get the image as an overlay without the border around the image. Where do I get more images like that? For example, I want to put a lightbulb over someone's head when they get an idea, but the lightbulb (jpg file) has the white border around it. When I insert the "callout" that's in the decorations section, it comes out without the background and looks so much better. I hope this makes sense! Any ideas?? Thanks sooo much....

You can use any photo editor that support PNG format. Load in the lightbulb JPG and define the white background as transparent. Save as PNG. PhotoImpact fully supports it.

You can also use .tga images in exactly the same way - these can be created in Ulead Cool 3D - which if you bought your copy of UVS on disc you may have a free sample of on the disc in a folder called C3DSE.

If you have Microsoft Office 2000 which comes with Photo Draw you can use any of the thousands (including a light bulb) of clip art images and save within Photo Draw as a .png image.

God bless you all.
