alpha channel

If I have a green screen can VS 9 create an alpha channel of the green screen?

not sure what your trying to do - what is it you want, UVS9 can do Chroma-key which renders the green background transparent - is that what you mean ??

I would like to make the 'green background' into an alpha channel that can be recognised by other programs. I can use the chroma which is fine if i want to just edit in VS but I want to import the video into Flash which will recognise the alpha channel and ignore it (there is an option in Flash

. I know Adobe Premiere can do this but wondered if it was possible in VS?

I doubt it from what I have looked at so far but as I am new to VS I wondered if anyone else knew more about it.
