Hello!
I am having fun checking out the trials of MediaStudio 8 and VideoStudio 9..
With the MediaStudio 8 I can nicely check out the HDV editing features with my HC1.. Though with the VideoStudio 9 software I don't know if there is a way to officially get the HDV-plugin software to test out?
As I see it is so nice that the HDV-plugin is free for VideoStudio 9 owners, though it doesn't really make sence that it is not up as a free trial, does it?
VS9 HDV-plugin for trial?

Hi Charbax,
I'm fairly new to VS9 but my prior experience with the trial version was that most if not all plugins, patches, etc., will not install. Even those that can can be downloaded without registration often send a "cannot locate VideoStudio 9" error message. If you opt to purchase VS9 you should have no problem downloading and installing all the freebies including HDV, MPEG-4, bonus content, and the like.
Also, I recall reading an FAQ which mentioned the trial version should be fully uninstalled and your system rebooted prior to installing the registered version **and** that the registered should not be installed in the same directory (folder) that was used for the trial.
Hopefully that helps. If not, perhaps a more experienced user will correct me
