VS 7 analog capture problems with ATI ALl in WOnder

Post by tattooed_vinny »

Hoping someone can help me on this. Am using a ATI All in Wonder 7500 video capture card via the analog input to do a buddys wedding video. I Am getting nothing, neither video nor sound on either the s video or component inputs. My firewire card works with vs7 fine, byt have to use the analog for the video i was given. Have re installed the service packs, the catalyst update and tried everthing i can think of and am aboot to just do this video on my vcr. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Vinny

Check if your ATI's driver is listed, and not conflicting with other devices. I think you could update it by downloading the latest driver from ATI's site.

You could manually enable the capture plug-in: use Ulead DirectShow Capture Driver or Ulead VFW Capture Plug-in if you want to capture in AVI format, or Ulead DSW MPEG Capture Plug-in when you want to capture in MPEG.

Also check out the "Announcement:" thread. It'll help you a lot.

Hi

When you go to the capture screen, does VS recognise your capture card.
Do you see ATI Rage Theatre or something like in the ‘Source Box’

I assume this card has a tv tuner. Connect an antenna, Can you see the tv program?

Select ‘Options’—Video capture properties….
Is the input source set to 'tuner'
Change input source to ‘Composite’

The audio may need a connection from the capture card to ‘line-in’ on your pc.
Check your card manual.
