I am using Videostudio 8 and I am having trouble with converting video & therefore the burning of the DVD in the final stage of the editing process. I get an error message which states as follows,
Error 80041c21 17002:10:0.
I have previously been able to burn the same piece of video successfully to DVD but for some reason I now get this error message. Has anyone have any idea on what I may need to do to rectify the problem.

What're your system's specs? What burner and discs are you using? Try downloading the latest burning patch from Ulead's website:

According to my own brief error translating file, the 80041c21 msg indicates a "file converting error", which usually happens when you use an AVI file with some specific CODEC like XviD or 3ivX, which might not be compatible with Ulead products. I know you say you have previously used this video beforem but you could still try using some other converting tool like TMPGEnc to convert the AVI to MPEG2.

No magic involved, sorry. Like most people, I was getting fed up with mystic error messages which told me nada. So I have started my own file of error message numbers and, after suggestions on this Board, what they seem to represent and (hopefully) what might resolve them. But it is a small file, though it had the one mentioned in this exchange.
