V.7 to v.8: Why can't I upgrade???

Post by chtchege »

Strange things are happening: I tried to upgrade subj, but after I submitted my serial number, the system repied that it is wrong. I re-typed it several times, I even copied it from the information page about the products registered by me - nothing.

For information: I have English v. 7 box version, but I bought it in Italy. Can it be the case? Maybe the European MSP7 have different serial numbers and I'll have to wait for my turn?

When you purchase v 8, you are given a new serial #. You have to have an earlier version installed or the original CD-ROM as proof of eligibility, not the old serial #

I have the same problem with MSP7 serial number but when I input my MSP 6.5 serial number it takes me to the shopping cart with MSP7 upgrade in it. Tried several times and get the same item in the shopping cart. The only way to get MSP8 to showup in the shopping cart is to select the full version or the package versions. I even tried upgrad from VS9 but it only puts MSP7 in the cart.

I think the reason the MSP7 serial number doesn't work is because the web link points to MSP7 upgrade and we are using a serial number for that product.

I was having the same problem, my MSP 7.03 was a ugrade from VS 7. So what I did was call Elements 5, Uleads company that handles the money for them. Took them less than 5 minutes to email me MSP 8. By the way my MSP 7 was a downloaded version with a backup CD mailed to me after. So if you have used Elements 5 before give them a call!

Ok, today my serial number works (the same one!), but instead of placing MSP8 Upgrade into my shopping cart, it either says the product I want is unavailable (showing "MSP7 Upgrade" - if I enter from www.ulead.com) or places MSP7 Upgrade into my shopping cart (for UKP 43 - if I enter from www.ulead.co.uk).

As for using Element 5 - well, I'm Russian resident, and it's a bit hard for me to track them...

Dear Ulead! Why is it so hard to make this right from the beginning? It's my money you need, and I want to pay them to you!

It looks like everything works now. At least, Ulead has accepted my order.
I guess, an apology to Ulead is in order... Just my imptience... Sorry.
