VS 7.0... Can not fade in or out on Images

How can I fade out or in images... i know how to do to videos.... I don't have fade out or in the transitions f/x library.... is there a way to get that transition effect for 7.0

Hi I'm not sure when you say Fade In and Fade out quite what you want to do but as a sugguestion try this --

Add the colour 'Black', 'White' or whatever you want to fade FROM before your picture and then use the CrossFade in th FX section as the trasisition.

You can adjust the lenght of the colour and Transition as required.

Do the same thing AFTER the (last) picture.

You can change the colour as suits but fade to black seems most common.

You can only use transitions in the top video track of the timeline - if you put you images in there you should be able to apply the crossfade filter between them.

Unfortunately, though, if you have VS 7 SE (in one of its iterations), you will not have either the Cross Fade or Fade to Black transitions in the F/X directory... They only come with the full versions of VS 7 and 8.
