Title artifacts
I recently created rolling credits using the "FLY" Animation in version 7. This was a recreation of a title that I had done in version 6.5 using the roll feature. The problem is that the newer version seems to introduce a bunch of artifacts into the letters as they roll. I checked to see if I had accidently used the "TYPE EFFECTS" feature but that was not the case. Version 6.5 titles were clean and solid as they rolled on by. Anybody have any suggestions?
I installed boxed upgrade version of v7 over v6.5 too and noticed the same bug.
It is partly resolved by applying the SP2 (or was it SP1?) although I am still under the impression that the result is still not as good as it used to be with v6.5
Incidentally, the same sort of effect was visible with moving path overlays and the SP does help but it is not quite so clean as v6.5.
The annoying thing is that once I'd installed v7, I could not even uninstall v7 + v6 then reinstall v6.5 to resolve the issue; somehow, even v6.5 titles were then corrupted ! So the v7 patch will have to do.
I hope that this helps.

Two factors can influence this.
1. If you use characters with serifs, then artefacts are almost inevitable. Use only sans-serif characters such as the Arial font.
2. If you are viewing a title in a project for TV on a computer monitor, (or vice versa), then you will certainly see artefacts in rolling titles, because of the interlacing. You should judge the results only on the hardware for which it was designed.
