It seems like the audio in my burnt DVD is not always in sync with the video. I made the DVD from mpeg files and chose Dolby Digital for the audio format. What could be causing the sync issue? The original mpegs play fine.
Thanks
Audio not always in sync with video

I have the same problem. I'm using MF4, and I burned a DVD with mpeg files I edited with Womble. The files played fine in preview mode. I burned 2 DVD's, and the audio was off in both discs.
I tried creating another disc Nero Vision Express 3, using the same video files, and the discs play fine. I'm not sure what happened, but I'm not having much luck with MF4. I may go back to 3 or just drop it all together. That was the first time I've ever burned useless discs using MovieFactory, and both were with version 4.
I searched this forum, and audio sync appears to be a common problem with MF, but nothing seemed to help me.
Try searching the forum here for "sync" and maybe you'll find a solution to help you. Good luck!

Re: Audio not always in sync with video
Last night I generated some MPEG files by capturing from a VHS tape using the WinDVD Creator that came with the USB capture device (Plextor). The MPEGs play fine in, for example, Windows Media Player, with essentially no dropped frames*, and with audio and video properly in synch.aab wrote:It seems like the audio in my burnt DVD is not always in sync with the video. Thanks
However, when I imported them into MF4, added menus, and then did a preview using the MF4 "remote control" stage, there are not only many dropped frames but audio and video are out of synch. Because of that I haven't burned a DVD yet - hoping to get some pointers from this forum. (I don't want to use my WinDVD Creator for burning as it does not recognise my dual layer burner)
Any suggestions will be appreciated.
* I tried WinDVD because capturing from MF4 leaves lots of dropped frames in spite of my defragging, stopping unnecessary programs running etc.
