Are you following the burn procedure in the top sticky post? If so, what are your project Video file properties and Burn properties?

These are the settings of both my project and my videos.

MPEG files
24 Bits, 720 x 480, 29.97 fps
Upper Field First
(DVD-NTSC), 4:3
Video data rate: Variable (Max. 4000 kbps)
Audio data rate: 192 kbps
MPEG audio layer 2, 48 KHz, Stereo

Quality is not important as I am pulling from VHS.

I do not know what you mean by burn properties as I am just writing to the hdd by only checking the "Create DVD folders" checkbox. This error is also replicated if I choose to "Create disc image file" instead, always at 95% completion.

And yeah, I am following the recommended procedure.

The recommended procedure tells you to Clear your timeline display and set the BURN Properties manually with the tiny, hidden cog wheel thing to exactly match your video file propeties. Did you do that? BTW, your video file properties look OK for capturing from VHS tapes.

ok, i see what you mean, and in this case yes, my burn properties exactly match my video properties.

Which version of video studio are you using?
I remember having this error with an older version, think it may have been VS7 and the problem (in my case) was to do with the audio.
Have you included any MP3 files. If so try converting the MP3 to WAV and then see if this fixes it.

Sorry, I tried to answer you earlier but a persistent bug in this forum frequently but intermittently prevents me from signing in.

Do you see a message when you begin the Burn sequence that says "Converting Videos, This may take a long time..." ?
If so, it tells me that your properties do not match exactly and could be causing your problem,
If not, try re creating your project video file with smart renter disabled. Then try the burn again.
