video studio 9 patch.

This may have been posted before? but I am a new user. I purched the product on the web and downloaded it. The patch I also downloaded does not recognise I have video studio9 on my computer. I have tryed to taking video studio9 off my computer and re- loading it. but I still have no luck, technical support were of no help. regards Brian

Launch VS9 and click the "?" (upper right corner of screen) and then select "About Ulead VideoStudio". Make sure your serial number appears in the info box and that your registered software has not installed as a "trial" version. I've heard this can happen if your registered (paid) download version is installed in the same directory as your previous trial and/or if the trial was not removed before installing the registered. Certain patches and/or content downloads will not install in VS9 trial versions and "cannot find VS9" is often the error message in such situations. If all else fails you may be able to get a new download link from tech-support.

I'm not sure but I believe the download version may include a "repair" option path Start > All Programs > Ulead VideoStudio 9.0 > Repair although this probably would not correct a registration error.
