Burner model?
Disc media?
Ulead Burning Engine Patch and 16X DVD Burning Pack installed?
DVD MovieFactory version you use?

If you give more details then people can help more.

Hope this helps.

Hello and thank you for the reply.

Yes, I just burned a CD in that Pioneer burner using my Roxio CD Creator.

For the DVD.. I am using Memorex DVD+RW Rewritable 4.7GB/120 Minute.

Thanks

Maybe you can remove Roxio and then try again (just maybe) because I was heart that Roxio will have some conflicts with Ulead products. I also heart that Ulead products are been fully tested with Pioneer burners since DVR-A05.

Hope this helps.

I have tried your suggestion. I was for a long time thinking that might be the culprit, but I had friends tell me that the different programs installed should not effect it? I think I have done this before too. Anyway, I did delete Roxio, and restart, and I still have the same message "Drive not Ready."

It is weird because it seems like it is working until the very end when the message appears. It goes through the video/ audio multiplexing and then finalizing VOB to 100% THEN, the message appears.

Thank you

How do you use the burner?? Via external connection (USB/1394) or internal connection (IDE)?

Hello.

I am not entirely sure the question.. but I know in order to capture the video, I have to use a cable and hook it up to the firewire card thing I had to buy at the store. ... I think the cable is USB? Would that mean external?

The cable is an 1394 cable, not USB.

When you hook the cable to the firewire card, what's the device on the other side of the cable?? The Pionner burner, or the capture device?

If it's the Pioneer burner, then I think you are using an external burner with a box, and the external box might be the reason why the problem happen. To solve the problem, you will need to install the burner as an internal one.

You might need to remove the box of the burner and then open your PC case (remember to power off the computer first), then put the burner into 1 slot of your PC case, then connect the IDE cable from the mainboard to the burner, close the case, then power on the PC again. This time you should be able to use the burner as an internal burner and the ""Disc not ready" error should be disappeared.

If you do not know how to do it correctly then you will need to find a computer expert near by you to help.

Hope this helps.
