VS9 Timeline View

Post by erock1 »

I just upgraded to VS9 from VS8 and am a little surprised by the way my captured video looks in the timeline. With VS8 I was able to see all the video's footage I placed in the timeline but in VS9 I only see the very beginning video and all the rest is a blue bar. Is this supposed to be the way it is, am I doing something wrong or is there a setting that I need to use? I'm freakinh out just a little :?
TIA,
Erock

Go to File -> Preferences and change the timeline view mode to Thumbnail Only.

Once again I'm greatful for your knowledge and help. Thank you THoff :!:

While I'm at the well :) , in VS8 when you deleted video from the library you had the option to delete the file along with the thumbnail. In VS9 I'm not given this option. Does it have anything to do with having auto-save active?

Hi,

Hold down the Shift key when you select Delete from the context menu.
After deleting the Library Thumbnail UVS offers the option of deleting the Source file as well..

Thank you George, works perfectly. I wish there was a setting to select so you wouldn't have to hold down the shift key each time.

Best always,

It used to be like that in previous versions but so many people complained that they deleted their videos when they didn't want to it was changed - can't please all the people all the time.
