Trying to produce a dvd for my company. Need to have menu load with thumbnails of products on 1st sreen. When product is selected, loads product page with larger image and info. Have about 80 products...
Is there an easy way to do this. Basically a dvd type catalog but not with a rotating "slide show" picture. All photos are still.
Any help would be appreciate, very new to this product.

Using MF3 or MF4 from the timeline select create slideshow.
Insert ONE picture of the product. Set the time to display on the screen
for however long you feel it should be.
Experiment in that module with adding text to the picture.
Click OK to exit the slideshow creation screen.
REPEAT that step again for the 2nd product.
REPEAT that step again for the 3rd product.
etc, etc, etc.
Under the "GEAR" icon select "Change Mpeg Settings" and set for HQ (High Quality). That would be for an hour video.
Under the "GEAR" icon under "Clip Playback" select "Back To Menu".
If you want the dvd to cycle through the products then select "Play next clip".
You can also have a wav file(recorded audio file) play with each clip to describe or transcribe the written on screen material or have background music.
In the menu creation stage you will have to pick a template that has alot of thumbnails. I would DISABLE "MOTION MENUS". One picture can't have motion.
Hope this helps,
MD

Thanks for the info,
another problem, the slideshow images are beyond the safe area when they play. Under the main menu area I can see the safe areas and keep the text and thumbnail images inside it but I don't see how to decrease the size of the slideshows (once they are selected) so they fit the tv screen
one last thing, can you have blank pages that you then populate with slideshows, images, etc. Say when the main screen loads there are a few icons like products, about us, directions, etc. Then if you select the products icon, it goes to a menu of the products, rather than all the products listed on the main menu.
The design I'm looking for is similar to a web site, being able to add pages with navigation buttons, go to each page and add whatever I want.
I use to do this with DVD architect.
Thanks again for the previous response
