Cant get menu system to work correctly

Post by robrwy »

Hi - I'm new to VS (9) and to movie editing. I have just done my first dvd. It has three short items , each shown on a menu. My query is this. If when playing the DVD I select say menu item 2, at completion of playing that item, the control should pass back to the menu to allow me to select another item or eject the dvd. Instead the next item on the menu is played automatically, and then the next and so on. When the last menu item has been played, the dvd goes to menu item 1 and starts all over again. The dvd never stops playing until I eject it. Can anyone tell me what I might be doing wrong, or is this just the way it is. Thanks for reading this. Heres hoping for some replies.
Cheers

When you go to the "Share/Create Disc" step you will see a little cogwheel icon at the bottom of the module screen that opens. Click that and at the bottom of that box you will see a choice of "return to menu" or "play next clip." Click "return to menu" then continue.

When you have the 'Create Disc' window open you will see two icons down in the bottom left corner, click on the one that looks like a little gear wheel. At the bottom of the new dialogue window which opens is a drop down labelled "Clip Playback" - use the drop down to change from "Continue to play the next clip" to "Back to Menu" - click OK - that *should* solve your problem

edit "SNAP"

Thanks guys - I knew I must be doing something wrong, or not doing something I should. I'm most grateful to you both - Thanks very much indeed
