Any one still capture VHS ?

So just as the forum is winding down, I decided to try capture few VHS's.
The USB device is showing in VS X9 but I can't set VS to capture in PAL. it's NTSC and all is unclickable.

That's odd. Can you create a custom template? Also, why are you capturing in MPEG?

VS never had too muany options, I'll manged Mpeg if it was PAL and fine.
I deleted all the NTSC file from the settings but thisone still stuck,I jues find eventualy the heak, that par will load.

As far as I know the program scans / recognises the device input to set the correct TV standard, Pal or Ntsc.
Are you sure the device or the video being captured is Pal

Even if I set the project as SD PAL still the capture is set to ntsc.
I tried OBS but I get all kind of echoing on the sound.
Now I capture with Pot player to mp4 but the video get lag few frames behind the sound so I capture in ~30min segments and sync in VP19.

You did not say what the quality was when capturing to ntsc?

The quality of the VHS is bad enough so I don't need it to be 720x480 and 30fps as well.

few years ago I capture most important VHS's thru my DV camcorder but then the interface got burn and later my excellent J47 VHS player died as well.
