VideoStudio 2024 coming soon

Post by pepegota »

VideoStudio 2024 should be released in February. Any new news? Now, with this change will there be a VS 2024?

We simply don't know, though there will certainly not be a VS 2024 this year. The recently released update patch for VS2023 is all that we will get. And with the closure of our forums, we have no idea about Alludo's plans for continuation of the programs themselves.

Ken,
Has there been any indication from Alludo about how the VS support team is going to function after the forums close? There is a lot exchanged here that's more in the line of "how to" in addition to software malfunctions, and in particular response times. I cannot count the number of times a user has posted about no response from the support team to a problem they were having.

If not, would a judicious email to Joe Lin get some clarity on that situation?

Frankly, there has been almost no exchange at all. We were told the forums would close essentially for monetary reasons. We made the usual if obvious arguments against it, including of course that it cost very little to maintain it, and that it would probably cost Alludo more to put on extra support staff to handle a greatly expanded caseload. The only response to that was that we were given the closure date.

Joseph was copied in on our emails. I rather doubt that another message to him will elicit more information, let alone any change in how Alludo is handling the matter. Personally, I have to say I doubt that Support will be enlarged by much if by any at all. And I also rather doubt that there will be any significant change in the way they handle requests right now. As the old mapmakers used to say: "There be dragons!"

I also tried and received the same message.

Not that I am surprised.

I am really not into social media like FB, TW et al, but it seems youtube is one every PC and it has several Video studio streams. Or isn't it suited to the sort of advice/banter that happens here?

I registered my account at the portal in early 2023, and I can login without any problem.
It seems that the portal currently does not allow new user registrations.
