Can't Install Corel Video Studio Ultimate 2023 Updates

Hi All - When I open my application, I get a pop-up "An update is available, would you like to install it now?" Of course, I click YES. The installer opens and it appears the Update will install. I also get the pop-up, "Would you like so and so to make changes to this computer?" Of course, I click YES. After that, I get a message that "The Update can't install because Corel VideoStudio Ultimate 2023 is running in the background - Close it and Retry". Well, when I close it - I lose access to that update! What's going on here??? How can I access and install this Update? Thanks.

Welcome to the forum -- though as you have seen but, if not, will soon become aware that Alludo has announced it is closing these forums permanently on 12 February.

When you get those messages, they should stay on screen when you close VS as instructed by the installation process. Are you sure there are no fairly small boxes , perhaps down in the right hand corner of screen, which carry on the process. It is very fast, only a few seconds. When you open VS and go to Help > About, what version does it tell you you have? The updated version is 256...

BOOM - done! Thanks, Ken, the fix worked perfectly. As you suggested, I had to click "YES" then quickly close CVS. from there everything works fine. I'm on .268 now! thanks again!
