Build numbers
To understand why 2023 is version 26.0 we have to go back a while.
Video Studio versions originated from the product name.
Going back 20 or so years Ulead Video Studio 6 for instance used 6.0
By the time we reached UVS10 (10.0) Corel took over, the roman numeral “X” was soon to be introduced.
Video Studio 12 became known as Corel Video Studio X2 (12.0) and so on upto X10 (20.0)
For X11 the program name started using a date / year format. It was the year 2018 so X11 became known as CVS2018 retaining the version number in sequence used 21.0
CVS2019 (22.0).....CVS2023 USING (26.0)
