Paint Shop Pro Ultimate 2023 Suddenly won't load
My PSP 2023 Ultimate has been working fine for over a year. Now all of a sudden when I click on the icon, it won't load. I can go to the application file in my computer and click on it and it still won't open. Don't know what has happened. I have copies of PSP 22 and 21 on my computer and they continue to load fine. I don't have any other problems with any other applications or my windows 10 computer in general. Any suggestions?

Welcome to the forum. Check your task manager to see if 2023 is running in the background. If so, you can terminate it and launch the program normally.
PSPX9 | PSP2020 | PSP2021| PSP2022 | PSP2023 & PhotoMirage installed; PSPX | PSPX2 thru PSP2019 owned but not installed

I have the same problem. Last used week - 10 days ago and everything fine. Now The opening splash page comes up, disappears and then nothing. I've checked Task Manager and it is not running in background. Rebooted computer and no different.

Version 2022 loads/open fine, in 4sec, on Windows 10 22H2 build 19045.3930 (January 2024 update).

Have you tried resetting PSP to factory settings: hold down a shift key while clicking on the shortcut to start PSP. You should get asked if you want to reset, confirm.
Re: Paint Shop Pro Ultimate 2023 Suddenly won't load
I tried holding down shift key and loading. The first time it indicated it wanted to update or reset workspace - which I clicked OK to - nothing happened. Now when I hold Shift it response the same as without - splash screen comes up, disappears and then nothing.
I just tried loading with Task Manager open - "Corel Paintshop Pro 2023" shows briefly in Task manager (while splash screen is up) and then "(suspended)" is added very briefly following "Corel Paintshop Pro 2023" and then every disappears.
Just tried to again while holding Shift key - did get a request to reset - confirmed - responded exactly as note in paragraph above.

Have the same problem. Holding down the Shift key while clicking on the start icon doesn't help. I have to reboot Windows (Windows 10). After that the program starts as usual.

Re: Paint Shop Pro Ultimate 2023 Suddenly won't load
Here's a couple things to try, usually they've worked for me when windows10 or 11 have gone unexplainably wonky.
1) Check windows update and ignore if it shows "you're up to date".
Click "check for updates" until there's nothing left to update.
If something got updated, be sure to keep returning to windows update until there's nothing left to update.
Some updates require reboot before getting more updates, be sure to Reboot PC after everythings updated too.
2) Run windows System File Checker at the command line or powershell (as admin)?
Press windows key + X to bring up menu (select either choice) then type:
sfc /scannow
Press enter/return key and sfc will slowly start checking files, when its done it'll give a report and return you to command prompt.
If sfc reports finding issues and it Resolves all of them, then restart PC and see if PSP issue is fixed?
If sfc has issues (extremely unlikely) there's a ton of pics and info on SFC at microsoft website at:
