Corel Video Studio Ultimate 2021 - Freezes

Rob, follow Trevor's suggestion and download the trial version only, make sure the trial version installs correctly before committing to the full version
remove any New Blue folders from C:\Users\****\AppData\local\temp, these are not required and can cause problems, must admit I delete the full contents of that folder every few days, it fills with garbage very quickly

Maybe check if your graphics drivers are up to date? That's been a culprit for me before. Also, make sure your new hardware plays nice with Corel Video Studio.

It seams that the version 2021 doesn't like my new hardware - went ahead to grab 2023 and everything looks to be running fine.

Then only realizing that I purchase the "pro" version so having a refund to get the "Ultimate Version" then the same problem happens like in 2021:
So where does this program reside?

I will have a look to see how to uninstall / remove that.
Given that the pro installed and failed with ultimate you should be able to install ultimate without installing the Bonus Features.
Unless the New Blue is within the content folder.

Did you try installing 2021 Main program only.

The New Blue Application Manager opens a New Blue panel allowing us to register/ create a NB account
Find the link via Start menu New Blue
The actual installed files are here:-
C:\Program Files\NewBlueFX\Common

We mentioned Uninstalling New Blue from C:\Program Files\NewBlueFX\Uninstallers
First check the New Blue filters have been uninstalled.
Also check Program and Features for any New Blue entries.
With no New Blue installed on your PC you should be able to delete the NewBlueFX folder.

Try installing the program again, but please install only the Main program.
Video Studio should launch – close the program to run the installer again, this time choose the
Standard Content, this pack contains some New Blue files, Does the program still run?
If the program launches, run the installer to install the next pack, Standard Content 2 ( VS2021)
Finally install the Bonus Features package

So after a long fiddle about - I managed to get 2021 Stable and did as suggested.

When version 2024 Comes out I will get that version.

Another snag with 2021 - everything appears to load up fine, but when I'm editing a project, the video viewer on what I'm editing is all messed up.
Any ideas on how to fix this?

Do these colours show on other MTS clips or just the one.

I have seen that effect before, many years ago, may take a while to locate any posts on this forum.

I would suggest you install K-Lite a codec pack, if you haven't already?????

Unusual that MTS video needs any extra codec’s

You mentioned on your first post that you upgraded the Hardware in PC, did that include your Graphics. Did these issues start after upgrading Hardware, maybe that should have been asked long ago.

I wouldn't of thought about installing K-Lite Code Pack.
All MTS Files work fine in another video editor i.e Magix, I did indeed upgrade hardware so weather the version 2021 is to "old" remains a mystery!

I notice your image is showing timelines in Project Playback, do you have the same green effect when playing in Clip mode.
