VS9 issue with rubber band

Post by jcolo »

Hi,

I want to do some special fade in/out. I wish I could click the starting point/end point of the band and move it to fix the final volume at that point.....but it is virtually impossible.

It is fine with marks in the middle of the clip, easy to see, easy to point, easy to move.... but on the edges I just can point and drag up/down. I either create a new mark close to the end or the cursos changes and trims...

Any hints ?¿?¿

Cheers.

Hi

Use the fade in / out.

Then drag the start piont of the fade.

or

Expand the timeline to 1 Frame, you can then get hold of the last point under the yellow trim bar.

The rubber band is a good idea but can be a pain to use.

Good luck

Another option which I often use is to output the soundtrack as a sound file. Tweak it with "Audacity" a very powerfull and FREE sound editor then use that as a replacement for the existing soundtrack.
