I am creating my movies for the USB sticks. I just started a new movie and added the video and photos. I noticed the Project Properties are set to DVD. I tried to select AVCHD, but I got this warning message: Modifying the project settings may clear the cache for video/audio preview and the undo/redo functions. Do you want to continue?
I cancelled. But if my video files are MOV, don't I want to change the properties to AVCHD?

Re: Project Properties Set to DVD and Warning Message
That message is really only trying to tell you that you are outputting a video format which is not compatible with what a DVD requires -- which is mpeg-2. Since you are not actually producing a DVD-compatible video to go on your USB stick, ignore the message and keep producing an AVCHD.
It is even possible that your TV might be able to play a .mov format video. You could test that by simply transferring one of your .mov files to the USB stick and inserting that into the TV to see if the TV can detect it.
One of the advantages of playing your videos from a USB stick drive is that you can transfer high definition and 4K video onto the stick -- in other words, far better quality video than you need for a DVD.

Re: Project Properties Set to DVD and Warning Message
OK. I'll ignore it and select AVCHD. I did load an older VS movie back into VS 2023, thinking I would edit part of it, but I decided not to bother at this point. The next day I created this new project and was surprised to see that message. I looked in the manual, and searched this forum, but did not see this issue.
Thanks, Ken.
Thanks, Ken.
